The undated photo of a smiling Cheney appears on the White House website and it has been suggested that a naked woman is reflected in his sunglasses.
According to the White House the reflection is someone holding an innocuous fishing rod during an afternoon of fly-fishing on the Snake River in Idaho.
Cheney is a well known fan of outdoor pursuits. During a hunting expedition in 2006 he accidentally shot his hunting partner, Harry Whittington, who was admitted to intensive care.
